The Full Story

Our Mission

The MindBody Healing Center supports people navigating significant life transitions, including loss, endings, transformation, and new beginnings.

We believe no one should have to walk through life’s most difficult thresholds alone. Through guidance, healing services, spiritual connection, educational programs, and community, we create space for people to be seen, supported, and empowered as they navigate periods of change and uncertainty.

As a nonprofit organization, we are committed to expanding access to meaningful support for people who may face financial barriers during times of transition. Through community partnerships, donations, scholarships, reduced-cost programs, and the generosity of those who are able to contribute, we are working toward a future in which financial circumstances do not prevent someone from receiving the support they need.

Our work is rooted in compassion, lived experience, and a belief in giving back. Some of us know the profound difference support can make because we received it when we needed it. Others know what it means to endure life’s most challenging moments alone. We are here to help ensure that people facing these thresholds have somewhere to turn.

Why We Exist

Life transitions can change everything. Relationships end, someone we love dies, a career changes, someone becomes ill, a child leaves home. We move, begin again, lose our footing, discover something new about ourselves, or simply reach a point where the life we have been living no longer makes sense.

These periods can be disorienting. They can affect our emotional wellbeing, our relationships, our sense of identity, our physical health, and our financial stability. And often, just when we need support the most, our resources are stretched the thinnest.

We understand this because we have lived it. Some of us were fortunate enough to receive support during our own difficult transitions and experienced firsthand what a difference it can make. Others endured those experiences largely alone and know how painful and isolating that can be.

The MindBody Healing Center was born from both experiences. We believe that reaching a threshold in life should not have to mean facing it alone.

Making Support Accessible

We also recognize that accessibility is complicated. The practitioners who provide support are people, too. Many are building lives and livelihoods on their own while bringing years of training, experience, and dedication to their work. We don't believe that making care accessible should require practitioners to sacrifice their own ability to earn a living.

At the same time, we know that someone experiencing a major life transition may be facing financial uncertainty of their own. We believe the answer is not to ask one person to carry the entire cost. Instead, we are building a nonprofit model in which the community can help share that cost.

Donations, grants, community partnerships, scholarships, reduced-cost programs, and accessible group offerings will allow us to gradually expand the support we can provide to people who might otherwise go without it.

As a growing nonprofit, we are still building the resources to make that vision possible. Our current offerings include a range of price points, and some services may not yet be financially accessible to everyone. We believe in being transparent about where we are today while continuing to work toward where we want to be.

Our goal is simple: to make sure financial hardship doesn't have to mean going through a life-changing experience alone.

A Community of Giving

We believe support can move in both directions.

Someone who has the resources to pay for a service helps sustain the practitioner providing it. Someone who has more resources may choose to donate so that someone else can receive support they couldn't otherwise afford. And someone who is struggling financially can still contribute through their presence, participation, wisdom, kindness, and community.

This is what we hope to build: a community where we help carry one another through the thresholds of life.

Sometimes we're the ones who need help. At other times, we're the ones who can give it. And sometimes we are both.

Our Vision

We envision a community where people experiencing significant life transitions can find compassionate support without shame, isolation, or financial barriers standing between them and the help they need.

We're a place where endings can be honored, loss can be held, transformation can unfold, and new beginnings can be met with support.

We're a place where people don't have to have everything figured out before they walk through the door.

No one should have to navigate life's biggest transitions alone. That's why we're here.
